Our Service
The Aquamap Survey Process
Pre-Survey
- Aquamap NZ Ltd begins by collecting preliminary information from the client to allow us to build a survey plan for the site and to write a quote for the survey.
- Once a survey is confirmed we research the geology and history of wells in the area to help with our conclusions.
- Once the client has paid the agreed fee a booking will be made by Aquamap to perform the site survey.
The Survey
The survey consists of a series of soundings taken in accordance with the survey plan to provide a general overview of the underlying aquifers and to identify areas producing the most promising signals.- This is followed up with a series of soundings taken closer together to clearly identify potential drilling sites.
- The GPS position of each sounding is taken to provide accurate positioning for our software and to allow well drillers to identify the exact position of any recommend well sites.
Post-Survey Reporting
- Once the survey is completed the recordings are processed using the ATS GeoSuite.
- The results are then analysed by our consultant who will identify any possible well sites.
- Aquamap NZ Ltd will produce a report showing clear graphical representations of the Aquifers (if any) underlying the client’s property. Each sounding is identified on a map and listed on a table along with its GPS coordinates.
- The best positions for wells on the property are identified on the table and marked on the graphs. Obviously if no suitable well positions are identified the report will clearly show this.
- Once the client has read the report they are free to ring or book a time to come into our office to discuss the results with our consultant.
